November 3, 2009 - Rad Gaines and Julie Pearce obtain favorable verdict in liquor liability case.
This case was brought under a strict liability statute by the father of a twenty year old who purchased beer at a convenience store. Judge Jim Hill ruled on summary judgment that liabiltity was established against the defendant. Thereafter, Gaines and Pearce made an offer of judgment, which was rejected. The case proceeded to trial, and the jury returned a verdict totaling 2.5% of the amount offered prior to trial.
