Teresa Yates

Teresa Yates has been the Firm Administrator for Gaines Wolter Kinney since 1998. Over the years, her job duties have grown exponentially, as the firm evolved from a small law office of seven attorneys to a much larger, active firm with offices in both Birmingham and Huntsville. Teresa is responsible for the day-to-day operations of both offices, including supervision of 23 staff members, maintenance of all financial accounts and administration of all firm billing, both manual and electronic. Teresa’s duties also include payroll and benefits administration for all Gaines Wolter Kinney employees. She has earned degrees from both Southern Union Junior College and the University of North Alabama.

Professionally, Teresa is a member of the National Association of Legal Administrators and the Birmingham Chapter of Legal Administrators. She was recognized as a member of the Who’s Who Historical Society of Professionals in 2001-2002 and was listed in the International Who’s Who of Professionals in 2002-2003. Away from the office, Teresa enjoys cooking, Auburn football, and all types of music, especially singing back up vocals for various groups.
