MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT (Circuit Court of Tallapoosa County): The defendant’s vehicle turned into the plaintiff’s path in a case of clear liability. The plaintiff sustained a broken clavicle and offered proof of approximately $2,000 in related medical damages. The bulk of the plaintiff’s damages related to the loss of the plaintiff’s vehicle, which the plaintiff used to operate a vending service, and the vehicle’s contents. Before trial, the plaintiff’s last demand was $90,000, and the defendant’s last offer was $60,000. The jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff for $56,000. Clark v.
