• James Morgan, deceased, v. Kathy Schwock, M.D. et al.; Circuit Court of Coffee County (Enterprise Division); Case Number CV-02-209; Tried 06/11/07.  This case involved a claim for wrongful death, and our firm defended Dr. Schwock.  James Morgan, the deceased, underwent a lumbar epidural steroid injection for treatment of back pain.  The procedure was performed by Dr. Schwock.  A couple of hours after the procedure, Mr. Morgan stopped breathing and died.  The plaintiff’s position was that Mr. Morgan died due to Dr. Schwock’s malpractice.  Dr. Schwock disputed liability and argued that her treatment met the standard of care.  The jury returned a verdict for the defendant.
